Probably Realtek HD Audio

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/

Choose High Definition Audio Codecs, accept agreement, then get the
"Executable" file for your O/S.

Hi Frosty
Normally I dont use Updates , believing the formula
that "If it aint broken-don't fix it".
Well , this time did update, but it didn't help..

Thanks Frosty

The Realtek driver should work much better than whatever Windows offers
up for an audio driver.

When I got my PC built by CA, they must have used what ever Windows
selected during the setup. Consequently I did not have the "record what
you hear" option available. After finding the installation disk that
came with the Asus MB, the problem was solved. Realtek is one of the
few audiocards that offers this option because big brother doesn't want
you recording anything off the internet.
