I've recently installed i-tunes and found it great for cataloging the music
collection that I have on my computer.

How do I make a list of the song titles, artist, time, etc for an audio CD.
I don't want to put copies of the songs on my computer. I just want to
catalog the songs that are in my audio CD collection.

Works with MP3s on a hard drive, but not on an Audio CD. Clue: you can't
write the info into a tag on (a) an audio song track and (b) a non-writable
CD.

To the OP: try musicmatchjukebox plus. I also hears that iTunes cnado this.
Or go to TuCows and seach for "audio cd ripper" or "audio cd catalog" or
similar terms. There are tons of progs out there to do what you want.

In the previous incarnation of my computer, about five years ago, I used a
program called CaTraxx. It was from a warez site that no longer exists. And
I no longer have the program. But it was pretty much what I (and I think
you) was looking for. I've got more than a thousand CD's and still getting
some occasionally; two weeks ago I had purchased Sammy Hagar's Three Lock
Box on CD from EBay. Anyway, with CaTraxx, you insert the disc, it goes to
CDDB with the number of tracks and length of each and comes back with the
titles, track names, times in multiple database formats including the
ability to incorporate cover pictures from the net. Would have cuyrrently
useful since my move to Toba I discovered I have duplicates of some and some
are missing (like the first Alan Parsons), either in the move, storage or
the break-in I once had.

That's the trial version. I can't find anything on that site that says
whether it's time-limited or number-of-entries limited - you won't know
until you install I guess. Still the price isn't bad for what it does.
